London is gifted with many beautiful locations that make perfect backdrops for your pre-wedding shoot. Whether you and your partner prefer the more urban exterior or the rural landscape, there is a location for each and every couple's portrait session to make memorable photos.
I've included some of my favourites below along with WHY they are great!
Holland Park
Holland Park is known to be one of London’s most exclusive and beautiful neighbourhoods, located in the Kensington and Chelsea areas of the city.
Holland Park offers various photo opportunities, including the Kyoto Garden, the Dutch Gardens, and the Orangery, which is an event venue full of beautiful scenery.
The park is a great location for a pre-shoot, with resident peacocks, the lovely waterfall of the Kyoto Garden and the various flowers which make up the vibrancy on the grounds.!

The Hill Garden & Pergola
The Hampstead Heath Pergola is a hidden gem located in the North-west corner of Hampstead Heath. A raised stone walkway with pillars on either side surrounded by ivy and plants with an abundance of flowers! Below sits a timeless walkway with masonry arches creating beautiful shadows as the sun moves across the sky.
This is easily one of the best places for a wedding pre-shoot simply for it's sheer variety and beauty!

Virginia Water
Virginia Water is a popular park that is open to visitors all year round. Located on the edge of the Windsor Great Park, it contains a large man-made lake surrounded by a path and acres of nature. With hundreds of trees, flowers and woodland in the space, it makes the perfect backdrop for your pre-wedding shoot - ensuring you and your fiancé are the subjects!
With the vast amount of different trees, it makes a great location all year round; whether you want warmer tones with Autumnal leaves or the vivid sheen of the green ferns of Spring. It promotes a natural feel and allows you and fiancé to focus on each other

Fox Hills Country Club
Fox Hills Country Club is a large estate in Surrey, UK that offers a variety of activities including golfing, dining, spa and wellness and accommodation.
The estate has a 400-acre estate with woodland trails, grounds, restaurants, lounges, and leisure facilities and has received awards for its quality and sustainability efforts!
I would typically recommend couples to book a night or a weekend stay here to get some well deserved R&R and we can set the pre-shoot during this time. That way you can stay on-site, enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of the country club and make the most of your time in the well looked after grounds!

Regents Park
One of the top parks in Central London with many different spots to choose from! This park looks wonderful in the Spring through to the Autumn as the leaves start to turn a warm golden colour. With symmetrical views, a Japanese style garden and a wonderful arrangement of flowers - this park is great for pre-wedding shoots.

Chiswick House & Gardens
Chiswick House and Gardens offers a timeless blend of elegance and romance. The Palladian villa, with its grand classical architecture, sets a refined tone, while the sweeping lawns, ornamental lakes, and tree-lined avenues create a serene, picturesque atmosphere. The gardens are rich with textures—ornate statues, hidden pathways, and bursts of seasonal blooms—that add depth and variety to every frame.
